Our yummy “black snack” included licorice, raisins, olives (8 on our fingers), blackberries, and black bean dip with pita chips. We made a butterfly craft out of the letter B and made a poster with eight black fingerprint bugs.

For story time we read “10 Black Dots” and “Dog’s Colorful Day”. We practiced counting to eight with the math bears. 
The highlight of the day was a tractor-wagon ride… not part of the lesson plan but so much FUN!
