Today at Tot School we learned about some special creatures…DINOSAURS! We enjoyed playing with foam dinosaur puzzles and learning how to dig for dinosaur bones (its very difficult!). We did some fun dinosaur songs and fingerplays and practiced marching like dinosaurs to “We Are the Dinosaurs” by Lauri Berkner Band. A fun activity we did was making dinosaur bookmarks and paper bag puppets. We went on an adventure to find the lost dinosaurs and enjoyed a yummy snack of animal crackers, oranges and bananas. Some fun dinosaur books to enjoy are: Dinosaur Days by Linda Manning, Dinosaur Roar by Paul Stickland, Danny and the Dinosaur by Sid Hoff, Dinosaurs After Dark by Jonathan Emmett, Tyson the Terrible by Christyan Fox, How Do Dinosaurs Eat Their food? by Jane Tolen, and Time Train by Paul Fleischman.
